Why Use an AI-Powered Face Blur Tool?

Face BlurPro AI Detection • Auto-Blur • Draggable Zones

Sharing images online comes with real privacy risks. Our Face Blur Tool helps you instantly hide identities, protect sensitive information, and comply with privacy guidelines – all without installing any software. Unlike manual editors, this tool automatically locates every face in your photo using advanced artificial intelligence. You can then fine‑tune the blur strength or even drag the detection boxes to cover exactly what you need.

Smart Detection, Total Control

The tool runs a lightweight AI model right in your browser (nothing is uploaded to a server). After it identifies faces, you get full control:

  • Adjust the sensitivity – lower values catch more faces, higher values ignore uncertain detections.
  • Change blur intensity from a subtle softening (10px) to a complete obliteration (80px).
  • Drag the bounding boxes to reposition them – perfect when a face is partially covered or the AI makes a small alignment mistake.

When to Blur Faces

Social media – share event photos while respecting others’ privacy.
Journalism & blogging – publish screenshots or witness images safely.
Education – anonymise student portraits before posting classroom pictures.
Research & surveys – remove identifying features from participants’ images.
Personal memories – quickly blur bystanders who accidentally photobombed your shot.

Privacy‑First Design

We built this tool with privacy at its core. The entire process happens on your device – the AI models are loaded once, and your photo never leaves your computer. No data is stored, tracked, or shared. That’s also why it works offline once the models are cached, making it reliable even on slow connections.

How It Works

Behind the scenes, the tool uses the Tiny Face Detector from the face‑api.js library – a compact but effective neural network. It scans the uploaded image and returns coordinates of each detected face. The original image is then drawn on a canvas, and a second, blurred version is clipped inside each face rectangle. When you drag a box, the coordinates update instantly, and the blur is recalculated in real time.
