🤰 Pregnancy Due Date Calculator
Estimate your baby’s arrival date using your last period or conception date.
🎀 Your Estimated Due Date:
How is Your Due Date Calculated?
A typical pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks (280 days) from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). This is the standard method used by doctors and midwives to estimate your due date.
📌 Naegele’s Rule
Most pregnancy due dates are calculated using Naegele’s rule:
- Start with the first day of your last period.
- Add exactly 280 days (40 weeks).
- This gives your estimated delivery date.
If you know the exact date of conception (the day you ovulated or had assisted reproduction), the due date is calculated as conception date + 266 days.
🧬 How Accurate Is It?
Only about 4% of babies are born exactly on their due date. Most arrive within a window of 37 to 42 weeks. Use this calculator as a planning guide, not a fixed schedule.
💡 Understanding Your Results
When you calculate using LMP, the tool also tells you how many weeks pregnant you are today (gestational age). If you use the conception date, it estimates your LMP backward and shows the corresponding pregnancy stage.
